The Fredericksburg Food Co-op will hold its 4th Annual Meeting on Sunday, September 22, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal Street, Fredericksburg VA 22401.

The annual meeting is an excellent chance to learn about the Food Co-op’s progress towards opening our store and to find out about your opportunities to participate.

At the meeting, Co-op members will elect three board members to three-year terms running Oct. 1, 2019 – Sept. 30, 2022.

As a startup co-op, ours is currently a “working board,” not simply a “governing board.” All board members serve as volunteers without compensation and they devote significant time and attention to this worthy effort.

This year will be unique, as we will convert away from being strictly a “working board” upon hiring our first General Manager and handing over the reins. It promises to be an exciting and energizing year!

Join the Food Co-op to participate in the board election and to help us achieve our goal of bringing a full-service, locally focused, community-owned grocery store to Fredericksburg.
