Join Deborah Testa Bennett every Tuesday evening at the Food Co-op for a Heal Me Yoga session. We will explore yoga in a chair so that you can do it anywhere. We will explore the four most powerful medicines here on earth: peace, love, joy and gratitude. Dress in comfortable workout gear.
Deborah has been a practitioner of yoga for 40 years, and has been teaching yoga for over 30 years.

CARD MAKING: RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS Wed., Sept 20, 6-7 p.m
Join Elody Shojinaga to make seasonal cards as an act of kindness for local seniors. Elody will introduce the art of blackout poetry, creating poems from words on a printed page. Cards will be donated to Mental Health America of Fredericksburg to help support their senior programs.
Instructions and supplies are provided, but feel free to bring craft items to share. Not creative? Just stop by to sign some cards with a cheery message!

BLACK FARMERS AND COOPERATIVES
Watch the lively presentation by Cornelius Blanding, Executive Director of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives, which emerged directly out of the civil rights movement. Today the Federation works to develop cooperative businesses, to expand land ownership by Black farmers, and to advocate policies that benefit low-income rural communities.
