Dr. Meredith Whittaker is an amateur environmentalist. When she is not treating the women of Fredericksburg for their breast cancer at Mary Washington, you can find her running with FARC on Saturday mornings and trying her hand at new recipes. She is new to the area, but has quickly made it her home as she enjoys walking the Rappahannock trails, checking out the latest eBook from the library, jumping at the opportunity to contribute to local composting efforts, attending Empower House fundraising events, and streaming live city hall meetings regarding the development of a data center in her backyard. She is grateful to live in such a welcoming community and is very excited about the prospect of hopefully becoming a Co-op Board Member. Thank you and if you’re a woman 40 or older, please remember to get your yearly screening mammogram. You don’t even need a doctor’s order to get one!
