Join Karen Hawkins, MA, RDN, to discuss the effects of a plant-based diet on diabetes management. Karen is the founder of Karen Hawkins Nutrition LLC. As a registered dietitian and nutrition communicator, Karen enjoys working with busy people to design eating that fits their lifestyle. She enjoys shopping at the Food Co-op and creating plant-based meals. You might find her training for a marathon or at the Farmers Market on a Saturday. She has also worked as a diabetes educator in clinics in Texas and Virginia.
Lunch & Learn participants can enjoy a healthy co-op lunch of soup and fruit for $6.99. You are encouraged to buy a ticket for lunch in advance at the register.
